Nation wants incumbents to complete their tenure: Musharraf

KARACHI: The population want the present government to complete its legal tenure, President Pervez Musharraf said on Saturday. Talking to a delegation of traders and businessmen at Governor House, he stressed the need for unity and solidarity to pull Pakistan out of the current crises. He also urged traders and businessmen to play their due role in the development and progress of the nation and made assurances that the government would provide them with all possible resources for this purpose. He said that the State Bank of Pakistan had taken important steps to control the inflation. "Increase of 13% interest is one of these steps", he said, assuring that the State Bank would consult the business community on important measures in a one-to-one meeting. online
