Frontier floods toll mounts to 35
PESHAWAR: The death toll of Frontier flooding mounted to 35 whereas search operation for more than 10 missing people underway in Peshawar and adjoining areas. At least 65 houses were destroyed in Khyber Agency and crops on thousands of acres were also destroyed. Rescue operations in affected areas would be started from today. The high officials of Motorway police would arrive in Jamoord today to inspect the damaged portions of Pak-Afghan Road. Though the relief camps has been established in Regi nasir bagh and kushal bagh area of Peshawar. On the request of provincial Government 600 Army personal has been deployed in the flood affected area. Pakistan army is helping out the people in brining out their luggage and to shift their livestock to safer places. Pakistan army has also established two medical camps in the flood-hit areas where affected people are being provided initial treatment and vaccination. According to local administration, al least 8 people were dead while one person was still missing in regi area of Peshawar.
