President has the option of resigning: Sherry
ISLAMABAD: Information Minister, Sherry Rahman said. “President Musharraf has the Article 44, if he wants to resign, he can do so.” Following the Senate Committee for information meeting, Sherry Rahman talking to the media said that no one would be allowed to interfere in the parliament’s authority. “There exists a difference between the trial and impeachment, impeaching is within the parliament’s authority”, she clarified. Sherry Rahman said that the arguments against President Musharraf were solid and the impeachment process hinged on the vote count. She said that the evacuating people from Bajaur and tribal areas would be provided security.
