Charge-sheet against President Musharraf finalized: Sherry
ISLAMABAD: Ruling coalition’s draft committee has finalized the charge-sheet against President Pervez Musharraf on Sunday. The final round of the consultations of draft committee was held today at the residence of Federal Information Minister Sherry Rehman in Islamabad. Talking to media men, the Information Minister said the draft of charge-sheet has been finalized which will be presented to the leaders of ruling coalition on Monday. She said impeachment motion would be tabled in National Assembly next week and added President Musharraf could resign according to Article 44 of the constitution. However, on this occasion, she hesitated to inform about the important points of charge-sheet. Sources said Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek and other members of draft committee were given the task of finalizing charge-sheet against the president. It’s concluding session was held today. Around 20 allegations including gross misconduct and violation of constitution have been leveled against the president in the charge-sheet, which according to sources.
