Altaf asks Nawaz to review decision to part ways from coalition

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday pleaded PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif to review his decision about parting ways from the ruling coalition led by Pakistan Peoples Party. Altaf Hussain called upon Nawaz Sharif to ponder over his decision of going away from the ruling coalition in the larger interest of the country and survival of democracy in Pakistan, said a statement issued by MQM here. He said he was sad over the announcement by PML-N to part ways from the coalition government because this decision is not a good omen for future of democracy and the country. He said the country is facing different external and internal challenges as the countrymen are confronted with poverty, inflation, unemployment and other problems. Altaf Hussain said in the prevailing circumstances the country needs unity and integrity, which, he was of the view had never been so direly required in the past. He called upon all the political and religious parties to jointly strive for survival of democracy irrespective of their political interests.
