Petroleum products’ prices raised by Rs3 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products were raised by Rs3 per litre on Wednesday. The Prime Minister has also approved the above raise in petroleum products’ rates. The revised prices will take effect from 12 midnight. It may be recalled that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a proposal to Finance Ministry seeking approval for increasing the petrol and diesel prices by Rs8 for the fortnight of May 1 to 15. The Ministry after due deliberations approved Rs3 per litre increase in the prices of petroleum products. Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, however, prevented raising of kerosene oil’s price.
