Q offers help to PPP on judges’ issue

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Thursday offered to help the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in resolving the judicial crisis, if the ruling coalition fails to do so. PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain said although his party would sit in the Opposition, it could assist the PPP in resolving the judicial issue so that the new government could concentrate on other important issues. He claimed that the PML-Q had not yet contacted the PPP on the judges’ issue but PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had formed a four-member committee of jurists to work on a package of constitutional amendments. He said Wasim Sajjad, SM Zafar, Anwar Bhindar and Dr Khalid Ranjha formed the committee. staff report
