Musharraf may accept judges’ restoration: Tariq Azeem
ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf “may accept the restoration of the sacked judges if the government amends the Constitution”, PML-Q spokesman Tariq Azeem said on Saturday. Addressing journalists after a meeting between the president and the PML-Q leadership, he said that the sacked judges could not be reinstated through a parliamentary resolution, AP reported. Sources within the PML-Q told Daily Times that the meeting discussed the current political scenario, the ongoing judiciary issue and a possible future course of action. They said that the Presidency was confident that the sacked judges could not be restored without a constitutional amendment. irfan ghauri
