Karachi peace plan ready, says Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD: The government has prepared a strategy to extend support to the Sindh government to maintain peace in Karachi and the entire province, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik said on Saturday. In a meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, he explained that according to the terms of the strategy, the provincial government would take rigorous measures to curb crime and maintain law and order with the full support of the federal government. Rehman went on to welcome the partnership between the MQM and the PPP, adding that the people of Sindh saw this as an important development for the prosperity of the province. app
