SC Judges Act can be amended, says Naek
LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) Judges’ Act may be amended if a consensus on the proposal is reached, Aaj TV reported Law Minister Farooq Naek as saying on Saturday. Naek said that the committee tasked to formulate a framework for the restoration of the sacked judges had approved a parliamentary resolution, but the method for the restoration was still being worked out. Aitzaz Ahsan and Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, had differing opinions, he said. “Aitzaz has given his opinion in writing. We are waiting for Pirzada’s opinion.” daily times monitor
